Fidrik

In a near future, a young animal rights activist finds himself entangled in a corrupt system, a mysterious family secret, and an unconventional love story.

Fidrik immerses us in a bleak, futuristic world where climate change has transformed Earth, and the fight for animal survival is waged in the shadows. In this setting, Fidrik, a neurodivergent young man (ASD), joins the Animal Rescue Brigades (BRA), a clandestine organization operating outside the law to protect endangered species. With unwavering conviction and exceptional skills, Fidrik becomes a distinguished soldier—but soon discovers that even the noblest causes are not free from corruption, secrets, and betrayal.
The plot intensifies when Fidrik is sent to Patagonia to sabotage a cloned meat production plant. There, he meets Mileny, a fellow operative as sharp as she is enigmatic. Together, they confront ethical dilemmas, dark revelations about their family pasts, and a power struggle that threatens to destroy everything they have fought for.
With a fast-paced narrative and suspenseful scenes, author Alicia Fenieux explores themes such as loyalty, identity, the relationship between humans and animals, and the price of activism in a world on the brink of collapse.
