Comequetecome is a nursery rhyme based on food chains and, as such, is circular: after turning through its pages, once you reach the last one, it starts over.
The author plays with rhyme in concise texts that lead the reader from one spread to the next, where the predator becomes prey. These actions unfold naturally, without the charm of each insect presented serving as an obstacle to being devoured upon turning the page.
The slightly dark humour serves as a narrative device. Through subtle touches in the characterization of the characters—and certain details that give them human traits—the reader engages with a book that reveals research without flaunting it, preferring the path of simplicity and suggestion.
