Ca_teter (Jorge Mato)

Uruguayan illustrator with a degree in Visual Arts.
He has had solo exhibitions such as Notes from Venice at Galería Garance & Marion (Italy, 2025) and Always Together at Mutty Gallery (Italy, 2024).
He participated in the Irudika residency program (2024), with sessions at the Maison des Auteurs (Angoulême, France), Casa del Autor (Zapopan, Mexico), and Bilbao Arte (Basque Country), as well as in the Convivencias project at Moinho Edições (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 2018).
He has been recognized with the Uruguayan Illustration Award in 2018 and 2023, and was an international guest at the First Medellín Illustration Salon (Colombia, 2022), where he gave workshops and talks.
His work has been selected for the White Ravens catalogue of the International Youth Library in Munich (2021 and 2024), the BRAW catalogue of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (2022 and 2024), and Iberoamérica Ilustra (Mexico) on six occasions between 2019 and 2025.
In the academic field, he teaches in the Illustration, Arts, and Crafts Diploma program at Tragaluz – Confenalco (Colombia), as well as in the Bachelor of Visual Arts program at the Catholic University of Uruguay.
